Sam Simmons - Problems

Gilded Balloon Productions & Token Productions

Sam Simmons is so funny you should spend money to go see him. His show 'Problems' is an audio-visual absurdist spectacular, encompassing everything from bread-shoes and hot chicken women, to ominous casseroles and soy sauce fish. I laughed so hard my chortle morphed into a deeply unattractive donkey bray. That's right: he is so hilarious you will lose all dignity. The most satisfying aspect is his uniqueness - you haven't heard these jokes before. The lament of the imperilled Lego man was new to me, and curiously poignant. Simmons is a wide-eyed, frantically energetic stage presence. 'Problems' made me want to leap to my feet and scream "Genius!" in an outrageous French accent.
