James Sherwood - At The Piano
James Sherwood
If you're a music lover, James Sherwood is the comedian for you. He begins with a song mocking guitars, which instantly won me over, although his jokes about chord progressions were lost on much of the audience. Sherwood's show also includes a section about misunderstood lyrics, and a tale of when he was asked to make songs out of complaints made by residents of Camberwell. His lyrics are delightfully random and his jokes endearingly geeky, but he's also a talented singer and pianist. Early in his show, Sherwood muses on the morbid ending of a Radiohead show he attended (the final line being "we hope you choke"), so it seemed fitting that Sherwood ended on the word "noodle".
