'Shorter Than Napoleon' stand-up Matt Kirshen does the Quick Quiz
You might have seen him on NBC's comedy-based reality show 'Last Comic Standing', or Paramount Comedy's 'World Stands Up', or on E4's 'Rudetube', or perhaps you've heard him being funny on the old fashioned wireless. But if you're a Fringe regular you'll probably know Matt Kirshen better for his Edinburgh shows, and this year's he's back with another one - his third full one-hour Fringe offering 'Shorter Than Napoleon'. With that in mind, and that to plug, Matt tackled the Quick Quiz.
Q1: What is your 2009 show all about?
It's about me, it's about Napoleon and it's about modesty, so I shall say no more.
Q2: Why should we come and see it?
Because a Nazi bet me five pounds that you wouldn't. Do you want to give money to a Nazi?
Q3: If your show was a superhero, what would his or her super power be?
At the moment none; my show is having a happy yet unremarkable childhood. But last night it was bitten by a radioactive spider. So strap in, this could be interesting.
Q4: What are you most looking forward to about this year's Edinburgh Festival?
Last year I dropped a Malteser down the back of a Pleasance sofa. This Festival I'm hoping to reclaim it.
Q5: What are you least looking forward to about this year's Edinburgh Festival?
What if the Malteser's gathered some fluff? Plus last year I drunkenly challenged the King of Scotland to a fight. Fingers crossed he's forgotten.
Q6: What advice would you give to an audience member coming to the Fringe for the first time?
Don't forget to take a flask of hot tea. This serves no practical purpose, but I'd love it if that catches on and I could honestly claim to have started a trend.
Q7: Other than your own show, what's your hot show tip for Edinburgh 2009?
I'm going for two - Nick Doody and Carey Marx. And Lady Carol. That's three. How do you like them apples? (They are not really apples).
Q8: Describe your show in three words
Funnier than Napoleon
Shorter Than Napoleon
