The team from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School answer the ThreeWeeks Quick Quiz
1. What is your 2008 show all about?
5 girls. 1 guy. No, not like that! Get your mind out of the gutter, you sicko! Mark has the misfortune to have to choose between five beautiful and fun girls. And no, that's not a typo - it is indeed his MISfortune; the problem being that the beautiful and fun girls are all ex-girlfriends whom Mark has dumped after telling each one those tricky three words: "I love you." But a group of adamant speed-daters (ranging from romantics to feminists) make Mark face his past dating disasters so he can get that one special girl back. But which of the five girls is "the one?" Well, the audience is honoured with the choice of what ending they prefer and the girl with the most votes at the end of the play gets the romantic final scene!
2. Why should we come and see it?
You get to choose the ending. And it does have five pretty hot girls in it.
3. If your show was an olympic sport, what would it be and why?
A relay race - Mark passes the baton to one girl after the next, yet keeps running away from love (as fast as humanly possible).
4. What are you most looking forward to about this year's Festival?
We're going to have a contest on the High Street all month to see which passer-by can come up with the best pick-up line of all time. We can't wait to hear that pick-up line and put it to good use!
5. What are you least looking forward to about this year's Festival?
Rain. More rain... And yet more rain.
6. What advice would you have for someone trying to navigate the Fringe?
Just open up the Fringe programme and randomly point to a show. If it's good, you'll come out of the show laughing or crying. If it's bad, you'll still come out of the show laughing or crying, but for all sorts of different reasons. But usually a bad show is an amazing story to tell friends about afterwards.
7. What advice would you have for someone trying to survive the Fringe?
Chocolate soup. Seriously, just go get something from Chocolate Soup at Hunter Square and go watch some street performers trying to perform in the rain. It'll give you a whole new refreshed outlook on life as you sip your chocolate delicioussness and I swear you won't feel nearly as exhausted or frustrated. If you're a street performer trying to perform in the rain - my heart goes out to you. Get an extra dose of Chocolate Soup.
8. Describe your show in three words
Five hot girls.
