Stephen Grant - Life's Too Short
Goldman King & CKP by arrangement with Lisa White
Are you a pedant? Do you even know what a pedant is? Well, you certainly will after listening to Stephen Grant for an hour. Possibly the most awkward and competitive man in Britain, his show is themed around life's trivial irritants and his personal inability to not overanalyse. This man has even altered grammatically incorrect graffiti on a loo wall. Described by Grant as a 'moderately intellectual show' - I insist on being pedantic and declaring that it is actually very clever comedy. It is structured and thought-through in such a way that it retains the audience's attention despite being slightly repetitive. But, more importantly, Grant brings a charisma and vigour to the stage which transforms his ravings into effective and actually, dazzling, stand-up.
